Post-COP Negotiator event

The event follows up on the Pre-COP training event that took place in Vilnius in October 2013.
Taking placed soon after the March 2014 ADP gatherings in Bonn, COP 19 issues will be covered as well as the developments under the ADP. Following presentations on key issues arising under the above, and in national preparations and policy in each of the participating Partner Countries, a round table discussion will focus on the following questions:
- What are the drivers of preparations to the 2015 Agreement at national levels?
- What barriers exist and how can they be overcome?
- What support needs are identified by Partner Countries in connection with their preparations to the 2015 Agreement?
- How can the Partner Countries and the EU cooperate within the framework of the UNFCCC and outside it?
- How can the preparations of the Partner Countries be supported through Clima East Project?
The event will be organized just after the “Development of a national strategy for adaptation to climate change adverse impacts in Cyprus” project closing conference This Cyprus adaptation project organises the ADAPTtoCLIMATE 2011-14 project closing conference in Nicosia, Cyprus, on 27-29 March 2014. Adaptation experts from Clima East countries will attend the conference to learn more about an EU MS approach to developing a National Adaptation Plan.
