MRV Regional Workshop

Clima East Policy Project is organising a two-day MRV regional workshop on 28 and 29 July 2015 in Kiev. 

The aim of MRV training and mentoring is to build up capacities of Partner Countries to understand the concept of MRV of industrial installations, and to acquire capabilities to prepare institutional and regulatory framework for the implementation of MRV of industrial installations in each country. The scope also includes economy wide emissions (as covered by MMR Regulation) and NAMA MRV aspects.

The three Association countries (Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine) will be the main focus of the capacity building for the introduction of MRV, however, the remaining partner countries have expressed interest and therefore will also be included in the MRV capacity building programme. 

The programme will consist of a series of workshops at national level, in order to enable participation of the largest possible group of beneficiaries, including government officials, representatives of local environmental agencies, experts and industry associations as well as environmental managers from industrial sectors potentially included in the MRV system for industry.
